APRIL 2010:

The month featured a positive NAO the first half of the month and negative NAO the second half of the month. The PNA was positive. The temperature averaged 58.1F and was the warmest such month on record (1977). The month was also the second consecutive month of above normal temperatures. Only 4 days averaged below normal. Temperature extremes included 92F on the 7th and 38F on the 28th. There were 22 days with maximums of 60F or higher, 13 days with maximums of 60F or higher and 6 days with maximums of 70F or higher, 12 days with maximums of 70F or higher and 4 days with maximums of 80F or higher.  

Precipitation totaled 3.66 inches and tied with April 1979 as the 17th driest such month on record. There were only 7 days with me4asurable precipitation (normal is 12). The most received in a 24-hour period was 1.42 inches on the 25th. This was a record for the day.
