The temperature averaged 52.6 degrees and tied with April 1999 as the 15th coldest such month on record (1977).  The month was also the 3rd consecutive month with below normal temperatures. Only 8 days averaged above normal. There were 8 days with maximums of 70F or higher and 1 day with maximums of 80 degrees and higher. Temperature extremes included 83F on the 9th and 29F on the 1st.            

Precipitation totaled 1.70 inches and was 2.54 inches below normal.  The month ranked as the 4th driest such month on record and the driest since 1981. The month was also the 4th consecutive month with below normal precipitation and the 2nd consecutive such month with below normal precipitation. The most to fall in a 24-hour period was .62 of an inch on the 10th.  There were 16 clear days and only 4 overcast days.
