The temperature for April averaged 49.7°F and was 1.5°F below normal.  The month ranked as the 3rd coldest such month on record (since 1977) and the coldest since 2018.  Only 10 days averaged above normal. There was only 1 day with minimums of 32°F or lower.  All days had maximums below 70°F.  There were 16 days with maximum of 60°F or lower and 4 days with maximums of 50°F or lower.  Temperature extremes included 68°F on the 28th and 31°F on the 17th.    

Precipitation for April totaled 4.51 inches and was .63 of an inch above normal. The month ranked as the 15th wettest such month on record and the wettest since 1986. The month was also the 3rd consecutive month with above normal precipitation. Precipitation fell on 14 days of the month with the most to fall in a 24-hour period was 1.81 inches on the 13th which is a new record for the day.  There were only 5 clear days and 9 overcast days.
