December’s temperature averaged 37°F and was -0.7°F below normal.  The month ranked as the 18th coldest such month on record (since 1977) and the coldest since 1997.  The month was also the 2rd consecutive such month with below normal temperatures. Thirteen days averaged above normal. There was only 1 day with maximums of 32°F  and 22 days with minimums of 32°F or lower and 9 days with maximums of 50°F or higher. Temperature extremes included 59°F on the 10th and 14°F on the 19th.  

Precipitation totaled 6.75 inches and was 2.84 inches below normal (173% of normal). The month ranked as the 4th wettest such month on record and the wettest since 1996.  The month was also the 2nd consecutive such month with above normal precipitation.  The most received in a 24-hour period was 1.30 inches on the 9th. There were only 15 days with measurable precipitation. There were 9 clear days and 12 overcast days.
