The temperature in January averaged 37F and was5.0F above normal.  The month tied with 2012 as the 4th warmest such month on record (since 1977).  Only 7 days averaged below normal. There were 22 days with maximums of 40F and higher, 7 days with maximums of 50F or higher and 2 day with a maximum of 60F and higher. There were only 3 days with maximums of 32F or lower. Temperatures extremes included 66F on the 12th and 10F on the 9th.    

Precipitation totaled 4.62 inches recorded and ranked as the 11th wettest such month on record and the wettest since 1998. There were 13 days with measurable precipitation. Snowfall was also below normal with just 6.8 inches. The month ranked as the 19th least snowiest such month on record.  The month was also the 4th consecutive such month with below normal snowfall. There were only 2 clear days and 15 overcast days.
