The temperature for January averaged 36.4F (+4.7°F) and ranked as the 9th warmest such month on record (since 1977) and the warmest since 2008.  The month was also the 2nd consecutive such month with above normal temperatures.  Only 9 days averaged near or below normal.  There were 18 days with maximums of 40°F or higher and 5 days with maximums of 50°F or higher and 1 day with maximum of 60°F.  Temperature extremes included 60°F on the 13th and 17°F on the 20th.       

Precipitation totaled 4.81 inches (1.35 percent) and was 1.25 inches above normal.  The month ranked as the 9th wettest such month on record and the wettest since 2015.  The month also ranked as the 2nd consecutive such month with above normal precipitation.  Measurable precipitation fell on 18 days of the month.  The most to fall in a 24-hour period was 1.93 inches on the 9th-10th).  Snowfall was below normal with only a “3.6” recorded.  The month tied with 2003 as the 18th least snowiest such month on record.  The month was also the 2nd consecutive month with below normal snowfall.   There were only 7 clear days and 12 overcast day.
