The temperature in July 2015 averaged 78.5F and was -2.4F below normal.  The month tied with July 1980 ranked as 10th warmest such month on record (since 1977). Twenty-one days averaged near or below normal. There were 12 days with maximums of 90F or higher (normal is 9). There were 17 days with minimums below 70F. Temperature extremes were 98F on the 20th and 62 on the 17th.

Precipitation totaled 2.78 inches and was only 65 percent of normal. The month tied with July 1980 as the 12th wettest such month on record and the driest since 2013. So far this summer, precipitation has been variable.  Precipitation was above normal in June and above normal in July. The most to fall in a 24-hour period was 1.28 inches on the 1st. There were only 8 clear days and only 3 overcast days.
