JUNE 2012: The pattern featured a negative NAO and a negative to near neutral index. 

The temperature averaged 71.5F and was 1.7 degree below normal. The month tied with June 1995 as the 10th coolest such month on record (since 1977). The month was also the 2nd consecutive such month with below normal temperatures. There were 16 days with temperatures above normal and 14 days with temperatures near to below normal.  There were 13 days with maximums of 80F and higher and 6 days with maximum of 90F and higher. Temperature extremes included 96F on the 21st and 51F on the 5th.         

Precipitation totaled 3.61 inches and ranked as the 14th wettest such month on record and the wettest since 1998. The most received in a 24-hour period was 1.40 inches on the 12th-13th. There were 16 clear days and pnly 5 overcast days.
