March’s temperatures averaged 40.0°F and was 2.2°F below normal.  The month tied with 2001 and 2003 as the 10th coldest such month on record (since 1978). The month was the 2nd consecutive such month with below normal temperatures and also the 2nd consecutive month with below normal temperatures. March was also colder than February by 1.1°F.  There were 8 days that averaged near or above normal. There were 10 days with maximum of 50°F or higher. There were 21 days with minimums of 32°F or lower. There weren’t any days with maximums below 32°F. Temperature extremes included 63°F on the 1st and 25°F on the 17th. .   

Precipitation totaled 5.14 inches and was 1.14 inches above normal (129 percent of normal). The month ranked as the 12th wettest such month on record and the wettest since 1991.  The month was also the 2nd consecutive such month with above normal precipitation and also the 2nd consecutive month with above normal precipitation. There were 11 days with measurable precipitation.  The most to fall in a 24-hours period was 2.26 inches on the 2nd. Snowfall totaled only 16.4 inches, which was 120 percent of normal. The month was the snowiest such month on record since 2015 and snowier than February.  The most to fall in a 24-hour period was 10.1 inches on the 21-22nd. There were only 9 clear days and 11 overcast days.
