The average temperature for March 2019 averaged 40.5°F and was 1.7°F below normal.  The month tied with March 1994 as the 13th coldest such month on record (since 1977) and the 3rd consecutive such month with below normal temperatures. Only 9 days averaged above normal. There were 15 days with maximums of 50°F or higher and 5 days with maximums of 60°F or higher and one day with maximums of 70°F or higher. Temperature extremes included 78°F on the 15th and 15°F on the 7th.  

Precipitation totaled 4.23 inches and was .098 of an inch above normal. The month ranked as the 21st driest such month on record and the driest since 2014 and was also the 2nd consecutive month with above normal precipitation. The most received in a 24-hour period was 1.02 inches. There were 9 days with measurable precipitation. Snowfall was above normal with 10.6 inches The month ranked as the 8th snowiest such month on record and the most since 2017.  The most received in a 24 hour period was 4.0 inches on the 4th. The month was also the 3rd snowiest such month with above normal snowfall.  Snowfall for the season totaled 21.9 inches and ranked as the 13th least snowiest such season on record since 1981-81 season.  The most received in a 24-hour was 4.0 inches on March 4th.  There were also similar occurrences. There were 11 clear days and 8 overcast days.
