The temperature for May averaged 60.9F and was 5.8F below normal.  The month ranked as the eight coldest such month on record (since 1977) and the coldest since 2002.  Only 6 days out of the month averaged above normal. There were 5 days with maximums 80F or higher and 3 days with maximums of 90F or higher and 2 days of 60F or lower.  The weather was changeable with a high of 97Fon the 18th and 52F on the 13th.
