NOVEMBER 2010: The month featured a negative NAO and a positive PNA for the first half of the month and negative PNA the second half. The temperature averaged 47.3F and was 1.0 degrees below normal. The month ranked as the 12th warmest such month on record (1977) and the warmest since 1985. The month was also the 4th consecutive such month with below normal temperatures. Eleven days averaged near to below normal. Temperature extremes included 67F on the 13th and 29F on the 29th. There were 27 days with maximums of 50F or higher and 7 days with maximums of 60F or higher.  There were also 3 days with minimums of 32F or lower.      

Precipitation totaled 2.25 inches and ranked as the 7th driest such month on record and the wettest since 1996.  The month was also the 2nd consecutive such month with below normal precipitation. There were 8 days with measurable precipitation. Most of the month’s rainfall fell on the 4rth-5th with 1.01 inches recorded.  This was also the most received in a 244-hour period. There were 18 clear days and only 3 overcast days.
