The temperature for October averaged 57.2°F and tied with October 2001and 2011 as the 7th coldest such month on record (since 1977).  Seventeen days averaged above normal.  There were 10 days with maximums of 70°F or higher.  Temperature extremes included 79°F on the 7th and 38°F on the 30th.      

Precipitation for the month totaled 4.59 inches and was 1.26 inches above normal (138%).  The month ranked as the 15th wettest such month on record and the wettest since 2011.  The month was also the 6th consecutive such month with above normal precipitation and the 2nd consecutive month with above normal precipitation. The period Sep.-Oct. rainfall totaled 9.75 inches and ranked as the 13th wettest such period on record sine 2020.  Most of the month rainfall fell in a 24-hour period was 1.48” on the 4th.  Measurable precipitation fell on only 14 days of the month.  There were 15 clear days and 11 overcast days.
