SPRING 2012: The temperature in March averaged 51.4F and was 8.0F above normal. The month ranked as the warmest such month on record (since 1977) and the warmest since 2010. The month was also the 5^th consecutive month with above normal temperatures. Only 3 days averaged below normal. The biggest departures occurred around mid-month with temperature departures as high as 26 degrees above normal. Twenty-five days out of the month had maximums of 50F or higher.
