SPRING 2022:  March’s temperature averaged 45.2°F and was 3°F above normal.  The month ranked as the 9th warmest such month and was the warmest since last year.  The month was the also the 3rd consecutive such month and 2nd consecutive month with above normal temperatures.  There were 18 days that averaged near or above normal.  There were 19 days with maximums of 50°F or higher, 10 days with maximums of 60°F or higher and 3 days with maximums of 70°F or higher.  There was only 12 days with minimums of 32°F or lower.  Temperature extremes included 75°F on the 18th and 21°F on the 4th.

 

April’s temperature averaged 53.3°F and was 2.1°F above normal.  The month ranked as the 19th warmest such month and was the warmest since 2016.  The month was the also the 3rd consecutive month with above normal temperatures.  There were 17 days that averaged near or above normal and 13 days with maximums of 60°F or higher and 7 days with maximums of 70°F or higher.  There was only 1 day with maximums of 80°F or higher.  Temperature extremes included 87°F on the 14th and 37°F on the 18th.

 

The temperature for May averaged 65.4°F and was 2.6°F above normal.  The month tied with June 2017 as the 10th warmest such month on record (since 1977).  Twelve days average near or below normal.  There were 5 days with minimums of 80°F or higher.   Temperature extremes included 96°F on the 31st and 45°F on the 8th.
