WINTER 2012-2013: The temperature in December averaged 40.9 and was 4.0 degree above normal. The month ranked as the 6th warmest such month on record (since 1977) and the warmest since 1984. There were only 4 days that averaged below normal. There were 12 days with maximums of 50F or higher and 2 days with maximums of 60F and higher.  There were 15 days with minimums of 32F or lower. Temperature extremes included 65F on the 3rd and 35F on the 31st.

The temperature in January averaged 35.5 and was nearly 4 degrees above normal (3.5). The month ranked as the 8th warmest such month on record (since 1977) and the warmest since 2008. The month was the second consecutive month with above normal temperatures.  The month was also the 2nd consecutive such month with above normal temperatures. There were 12 days that averaged near or below normal. There were 18 days with maximums of 40F or higher, 6 days with maximums of 50F and higher and 2 days with maximums of 60F or higher. Temperature extremes included 60F on the 31st and 10F on the 23rd.

Snowfall for the month was above normal with 10.3 inches (normal is 9.9). The month ranked the 13th snowiest such month on record and the snowiest since 1995. The most received in a 24 hour period was 9.8 inches on the 8th-9th. The month ranked as the 13th snowiest such month on record and the snowiest since 1995.
