WINTER 2021-2022:  December’s temperature averaged 43°F and was 5.3°F above normal.  The month ranked as the 2nd warmest such month on record (since 1977).  The month was the 4th consecutive such month with above normal temperatures.   Only 5 days averaged near or below normal.  There were 16 days with maximums of 50°F or higher.  There were t days with minimums of 32°F or lower.  Temperature extremes included 67°F on the 11th and 24°F on the 20th  

 

January’s temperature averaged 30.1°F and was 1.6°F below normal.  The month tied with January 2011 as the 13th coldest such month on record (since 1977).   Only 10 days averaged above normal.  There were 11 days with maximums of 40°F or higher and 4 days with maximums of 50°F or higher.  There were 6 days with maximums of 32°F or lower and 28 days with minimums of 32°F or lower.  Temperature extremes included 59°F on the 2nd and 8°F on the 16th.

 

February’s temperature averaged 37.2°F and was 3.2°F above normal.  The month ranked as the 10th warmest such month and was the warmest since 1981.  The month was the 7th consecutive such month with above normal temperatures.  There were 14 days that averaged near or below normal.  There were 9 days with maximums of 50°F, 4 days with maximums of 60°F and one days with a maximum of 70°F.  There was only 2 days with maximums of 32°F or low normal is 4.  Temperature extremes included 70°F on the 23rd and 16°F on the 14th.
