June’s temperature averaged 77.7F and was near normal.  The month ranked as the 18th coldest such month on record (since 1977 and the coldest since 2014. The month also was the second consecutive such month with near to below normal temperatures. There were 17 days that averaged near to below normal. There were 10 with maximums of 90°F or higher. There were 14 days with maximums of 80°F or lower. Temperature extremes included 98°F on the 1st and 58°F on the 8th..   

Precipitation totaled 5.69 inches and was 1.41 inches above normal and ranked as the 11th wettest such month on record and the wettest since 1995. Most of the rainfall occurred during the second half of the month.  This was due to a sub-tropical high over the western Atlantic and a trough in eth Mississippi Valley.  The flow directed deep tropical moisture northward. There were 11 days with measurable precipitation.  The most to fall in a 24-hours period was 1.29 inches on the 17th. There were only 10 clear days and only 3 overcast days.
