In May, the temperature averaged 66.2°F (+3.4°F) and tied with 2010 as the 6th warmest such month on record (since 1977).  The month was also the 2nd consecutive such month with above normal temperatures.  The month was also the 6th consecutive month with above normal temperatures.  Only 9 days averaged near or below normal.  There were 22 days with maximums of 70°F or higher and 10 days with maximums of 80°F or higher.  Temperature extremes included 88°F on the 2nd and 46°F on the 11th.
