The temperature for January averaged 36.4F (+4.7°F) and ranked as the 9^th warmest such month on record (since 1977) and the warmest since 2008.  The month was also the 2^nd consecutive such month with above normal temperatures.  Only 9 days averaged near or below normal.  There were 18 days with maximums of 40°F or higher and 5 days with maximums of 50°F or higher and 1 day with maximum of 60°F.  Temperature extremes included 60°F on the 13^th and 17°F on the 20^th.

In April, the temperature averaged 54.3°F (+3.1°F) and ranked as the 15^th warmest such month on record (since 1977) and the warmest since 2011.  The month was also the 2^nd consecutive such month with above normal temperatures.  The month was also the 5^th consecutive month with above normal temperatures.  Fifteen days averaged near or below normal.  There were 17 days with maximums of 60°F or higher and 8 days with maximums of 70°F or higher and 2 days with maximum of 80°F.  Temperature extremes included 88°F on the 29^th and 37°F on the 4^th.

June’s temperature averaged 76.5°F (+6.4°F) and was the warmest June on record (since 1977), the warmest since 1994.  The month was the 78^th consecutive such month with above normal temperatures.  There were Only 6 days averaged near or below normal.  There were 7 days with maximums of 90°F or higher.  Temperature extremes included 97°F on the 21^st and 59°F on the 1^s.

June’s temperature averaged 86°F (+8.1°F) and was the warmest July on record (since 1977), the warmest since 2022.  The month was the 6^th consecutive such month and the 8^th consecutive month with above normal temperatures.  There were 8 days that averaged near or below normal.  There were 13 days with maximums of 90°F or higher.  Temperature extremes included 99°F on the 16^th and 63°F on the 1^st.

August’s temperature averaged 76.2°F (+0.5°F) and was 9.8°F cooler than July.  The month tied with 1988 as the 16^th warmest such month on record (since 1977).  The month was the 9^th consecutive month with above normal temperatures.  There were 14 days that averaged near or below normal.  There were 6 days with maximums of 90°F or higher.  Temperature extremes included 97°F on the 1^st and 57°F on the 21^st.

WINTER

Precipitation in December totaled 6.69 inches (1.71 percent) and was 2.78 inches above normal.  The month tied with 2009 as the 5^th wettest such month on record and also ranked as the 2^nd consecutive such month with above normal precipitation.  Measurable precipitation fell on 10 days of the month.  The most to fall in a 24-hour period was 2.80 inches on the 17^th-18^th).  Snowfall was below normal with only a “T” recorded.  The month ranked as the 2^nd lease snowiest such month on record and the least since 2015.  There were 9 clear days and 10 overcast day.

Precipitation for September totaled 1.33 inches (.32 percent) and was 2.77 inches below normal.  This in contract to the previous month with August’s rainfall 2.40 percent of normal (+5.96) above normal.  The month ranked as the 3^rd driest such month on record and the driest since 2007.  Measurable precipitation fell on 1 only 5 days.  Most of the month’s rainfall fell between the 26^th-29^th).  The most to fall in a 24-hour period was .60 inches on the 29^th. 

October’s precipitation totaled only a trace (.0 percent) and was 3.33 inches below normal.  The month is the driest such month on record and the driest month EVER!  The month was the driest since 2013.  The month was also the 2^nd consecutive month with below normal precipitation.  There weren’t any days with measurable precipitation.  The most to fall in a 24-hour period was a trace on the 29^th.  There weren’t any overcast days.

Precipitation in November totaled 3.19 (96 percent) and was -.14 inches below normal.  The month ranked as the 3^rd driest such month on record and the driest since 1998.  There were 7 days with measurable precipitation and 1 day with rainfall of an inch or more.  The most to fall in a 24-hour period was 1.22 inches on the 21-22.

Sumer’s rainfall totaled 16.72 inches and ranked as the 6^th wettest such season and the wettest since 2018.  The season ranked as the 2^nd consecutive such season with above normal precipitation.  The period July-August, 13.79” inches of rainfall and ranked as the 4^th wettest such season on record and the wettest since 2004.  The period was also the 2^nd consecutive such period on record with above normal precipitation.  In contrast, the period June-July, rainfall totaled 6.51 inches and ranked as the 17^th driest such period with below precipitation and the driest since 2011.  The most to fall in a 24-hour period was 2.42 inches on August 18^th and was also a record for the day.  There were 32 days with measurable rainfall, 26 days with maximums of 90°F or higher, 12 overcast days and 29 clear days.

Autumn’s rainfall totaled 4.52 inches and ranked as the driest such season and the driest since 2018.  The period October-November 3.19 inches fell and ranked as the 3^rd driest such period on record.    There were 12 days with measurable rainfall.  In September, there were 12 days that temperatures averaged near or below normal.
